PowerPoint presentations in final exams
Yesterday I delivered an oral presentation comparing and contrasting Huck Finn and Holden Caufield for my EDI II exam. Again, we have to use a PowerPoint presentation to illustrate what we presented.
Today, I started thinking about how these visual aids (PowerPoint or Prezi presentations) can help you improve your talk by making it more interesting and appealing, or they can ruin your whole presentation!
In the case of the one that I prepared for EDI II, it was praised by the teachers on the board, but that was not the case with the one that we (Aldana V. Marcia and me) prepared for EDI I exam, which was highly criticised.
Let me share with you the one that we used for EDI I exam, so you can give me your opinion.
After all, visual aids are supposed to make a strong impact on the audience, don't they?

ECO II final exam
We (Priscila and I) are about to sit Eco II exam. This morning we were reflecting upon the subject and we considered that our Pecha Kucha is a good review of all the work that we've done all throughout the year, but it is not enough.
In a way, we had to dismantle the subject into pieces so as to be able to see the tools that we haven´t explored yet, but our classmates have already used in their presentations.
The idea was to go deeper, not only analysing or exploring the things that we've learned, but also the tools that our peers found and we happened to find really useful. By dismantling the pieces, at the same time, we're putting the subject together.

PECHA KUCHA
Yes! Here it is! Our pecha kucha!
In case you want to see it again, (and enjoy it hopefully!) you have to click ===> HERE
What we want to show you in our pecha kucha is the progress that we made all throughout this year. At the beginning it was difficult to design tasks and incorporate them in our lesson plans, mainly because we were not use to work in that way. Eventually, we learned many things and we enjoyed a lot working in this way, by mixing traditional ways of teaching and new and innovative ones.
To sum up, IT WAS A GREAT AND PROFITABLE EXPERIENCE.

Our last lesson - Personal reflection
I can't agree more with Vanesa's last post. We've learned a lot in this subject and it is great to have a teacher who is able to understand our times and to give us different possibilities to work autonomously.
Our last lesson was great! I really love all the pecha kuchas!
Yes, at first we had some technical problems, but then, we could enjoy wonderful presentations.
Nice project! Great teacher and classmates!

Pecha Kucha's time.
We (Agostina, Belén, Priscila and I) are in the process of designing and recording our Pecha Kucha for Eco II. Our first approach to Pecha Kucha was in diction this year and we really enjoyed it. Yes, you may say that it is difficult because you have to summarize in twenty slides all the work that we did through this year, but we find it rewarding. What I like the most is finding an especial image that represents what you are saying and, of course, playing with humour.
What do you think? Are you enjoying the task too?

5th course yearbook - the final project
For the ones that have asked me about the final result of my project here it is!
As you can see, this digital yearbook was made in a PowerPoint presentation. The thing that I like most about this project is that each student had the possibility to choose what to do with his/her profile and this shows in the information and the images that they included. The profiles really reflect their personalities.
It was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed it! Hope you enjoy it too!
